Google Sandbox - How Long?
Websites are not punished in a sandbox for being new. They just need more optimization work and better content to get indexed.
SEO Tip: To see if Google robots are visiting your website get a free Google Webmaster account.
You will probably find that your site has been visited by Google robots but is not being indexed for other reasons.

The Google sandbox effect fact or fiction?
Fiction.

Google does not ostracize brand new websites just because they are new.
But new websites often have many other problems that cause them to be ignored. This gives the appearance of a sandbox conspiracy and an excuse for SEO companies to blame someone else for their low quality work.

The Ugly Truth About Google Sandboxing
How long does Google sandbox all new websites for?
Never.
Fiction: Google sandboxes all new websites.
Fact: There is no such thing as a Google sandbox where all new sites go for a time out just because they are new. That would be agism and Google, for the most part, plays pretty fair.
Here is an example from another SEO website that expresses a very common misconception among SEO professionals and laypeople:
...For Google, the jailing in the sandbox for new sites with new domains is on average 6 months, although it can vary from less than a month to over 8 months. The same timeframe also applies to sites that have had poor visibility and have recently been optimized. In fact, the time frame of less than a month to over 8 months literally encompasses from the day the site is launched to infinity (and beyond).
Why is this thinking so dangerous? Because your SEO company or guru can rip you off. They can do a lazy job and simply blame it on things "beyond their control." We have a harsh word for companies who blame their bad work on good search engines:
Unprofessional
("crook" also comes to mind.)
Fact: Brand spanking new websites do tend to be ignored by search engines but not because they are new - because they, well, sorry, are not up to par just year.
The truth is that poor quality websites do poorly in search engines and mediocre websites do "so-so."
Great sites with great SEO using white-hat practices generally, do great. The vast majority of new websites are (sorry site owners) not great. They lack content, links, and a may still have "bugs" and "kinks."
